OpenVMS Version 7.3-2 FIELD TEST NOW AVAILABLE OpenVMS Version 7.3-2 Field Test is now available from the OpenVMS field test web site. CanACU has arranged for members who are interested to participate in Field Tests. If you are willing to actively participate and contribute your results, please contact Dave Wilson David.J.Wilson@CanACU.org and we'll arrange your access to the FT website to download the Field test kits for "OPAL." 2. SEMINAR ATTENDED BY MEMBERS AND CUSTOMERS FROM ACROSS ONTARIO AND CANADA Along with HP users from the National Capital Region, members and customers from across Ontario and as far away as British Columbia attended the OpenVMS Strategy & Directions 2003 technical seminar in Ottawa on June 25, 26, 2003. Open VMS Ambassadors and engineering staff from HP offices in Canada and the U.S. provided the presentation content, which started off with an insightful keynote from Terry Shannon. The two-day technical seminar is part of an ongoing series of information exchange events presented by the Association in collaboration with HP (Canada) Co. The success of this seminar is also attributed to our event sponsors: Nemonix Engineering, Inc., Cyrano Incorporated, and System Resale Solutions. DEMO OF ALPHA AND ITANIUM RUNNING VMS One of the highlights of the seminar was the live onsite demo of an Alpha and an Itanium running VMS provided by the local HP office in Ottawa. For the benefit of those whar are interested but were not able to attend teh seminar, information on the demo will be posted on the Association Web site in the weeks to come. 4.
